Arrive at the Great Island boat launch at 2:30PM for a 3:00PM launch.  The paddle route and destination are TBD.  Paddlers will return to the Great Island boat launch by 5:30PM, in time to join the Moonlight paddle (launching at 6:30PM), if desired. Bring PFD & whistle as well as food, drinks, chairs, tables, etc. for dinner at the Great Island boat launch parking lot.  A port-a-potty is available.
Moonlight Paddle, Great Island, 6:00 PM

This paddle will follow the Daylight paddle. Arrive at 6:00PM for a 6:30PM launch, or arrive earlier and have dinner with the Daylight paddlers. A port-a-potty is available. We will paddle about an eighth of a mile to beach on an island at the mouth of the CT River. For safety at night, the route is in protected water with minimal boat traffic.  We will have a campfire on the beach, so bring snacks, drinks, blanket, etc. Bring PFD, whistle and lights (flashlight, headlamp, deck light, etc.).
