This is a joint paddle with Shoreline Sailing Club. The Great Island launch ramp is wide, there is plenty of parking, and bonus points: a porta potty. This area is protected from waves but there can be a good breeze, so the paddle is rated as intermediate. We will explore the lower Black Hall River and then paddle to the sandy beach of Griswold Point where we can land, stretch our legs and have a snack. Arrive at 9:00am and launch at 9:30am. We will be back by noon. Bring a life preserver, whistle, sunscreen, water, and a bathing suit, if you like. Post paddle lunch at Hallmark Drive In, Route 156, Old Lyme, for those who would like to extend their stay.
