What is this?
Hike Leader, Marsha Baretta, 860.690.3864. Arrive by 11:15 AM. Hike steps off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time. It is getting too chilly to wait for late arrivals. The Dividend Pond Trails in Rocky Hill, CT are accessed by a Parking Area (and signage) located at 30 Old Forge Road in Rocky Hill, CT 06067. The entire 3.0 mile trail system consists of a scenic (flat) trail walk around the Lower and Upper Ponds that are connected by a peaceful and serene waterfall. The trails around the ponds are home to former mills, their artifacts and storyboards that inform travelers about the history beneath their feet. The hike extends to an upper area (also utilized for Mountain Bikes) that loops around (linking directly to the “Bean Field” Parking Lots of the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT) and returns to the trails around the ponds. NOTE: The Dividend Trails Parking Lot only has room for approximately 12 cars however parking is permitted on the side of the road on Old Forge Road. Rehydration location TBD.
