Jeanne Delehanty 860-748-5858. Arrive by 12:15 PM. Hike steps off promptly at 12:30. This approximately 4 mile hike, partially along the Metacomet Ridge, with beautiful views to the west, is rated moderate. There is a bailout option, making the hike approximately 3 miles, if desired. Rocks, roots, leaves and nature's ball bearings, acorns, abound on the trail making hiking footwear a necessity. Sneakers are NOT recommended. For apres hike we will picnic in the park. BYO Everything, including a blanket or extra layer as it is getting chilly. Cancellation due to inclement weather will be posted on the MTL website calendar by Sunday morning.
