About this event
Join us for the Solstice Hike, the last of the fall hiking season, at Sessions Woods. The ~ 3 mile hike will follow the Beaver Pond trail which is an easy woods road with a few inclines. Depending on weather and conditions we may have a second, harder, hike which will be decided when we get there.
Be sure to toss your grippers or spikes into your pack. Conditions in the woods often vary from what you see in your backyard.
Arrive by 11:15 AM, hike(s) step off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time. It will be too chilly to wait for late arrivals.
Our annual Solstice Celebration and Sacrifice of the Socks around the fire pit will follow at the home of Anita Kordek. Address will be provided at the hike. Bring a chair and blanket or extra layers.
Deer Valley turkey chili, mulled cider, Solstice S'mores and more will be provided for apres. BYOBeverages. Please bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert to share.
