HIKE IS CANCELLED DUE TO FORECAST OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
This easy 4+ mile hike overlooks the Cogincahug River with views of two waterfalls. The trail has some gentle ups and downs and a few easy, flat stream crossings. The water was only trickling on Tuesday's test but it was quite muddy. Hiking footwear required, hiking poles strongly recommended. Wildlife sightings on Tuesday included deer, blue birds and a pileated woodpecker.
Arrive by 11:15 AM, hike steps off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time. It's getting too chilly to wait for late arrivals.
Apres in the park, S'mores provided. Put a warm beverage in your thermos and enjoy snacks around the fire. Bring a chair and extra layers or a blanket.
