Walk the Windsor Locks Canal Trail State Park path. This paved path runs for 4 miles from Windsor Locks to Suffield. You can do all 8 miles or turn around at any point for a shorter walk. See the historic canal, interesting water features, look for nesting eagles and other flora and fauna! The trail entrance is behind the Montgomery Mill Apartments near the intersection of Rts 159 and 140 just as you start across the bridge in Windsor Locks. If you go all the way across the bridge it’s too far. Drive all the way to end of the parking lots, until you can’t go any further, by the Pot-o-Potties. Hike leader, Jeanne Delehanty 860-748-5858.
