Jeanne Delehanty 860-748-5858. Arrive by 11:15 AM. Hike steps off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time.  It is getting too chilly to wait for late arrivals. If you were at the recent MTL meeting about favorite local hikes, this is mine.  Come and see why I love it. This approximately 4 mile hike, partially along the Metacomet Ridge, with beautiful views to the west, is rated moderate. There are some moderately steep ups and downs and some walking along the edge of an incline with slight drop off. No bail out or turn around options. You should be prepared to hike the entire distance. Hiking footwear strongly recommended.  Wet leaves will be slippery.  NO SNEAKERS.  We saw bears on this hike, previously!  For apres hike we will picnic in the park. BYOEverything, including a chair and blanket or extra layer as it may be chilly.  Cancellation due to inclement weather will be posted on the MTL website calendar by Sunday morning.
