Pre-Moonlight Paddle
Fred Murray will lead an afternoon paddle from the Great Island launch site prior to the moonlight paddle. Meet at 2:30, launch at 3:00, return to the Great Island launch site for snacks/dinner, re-launch at 6:30 for moonlight paddle.

Moonlight Paddle
Meet at 6:00, launch at 6:30, campfire on island. Bring snacks to share/heat up on fire.

Directions: GPS address is 45 Smith Neck Road, Old Lyme. I-95 to exit 70, go south on rt. 156 (Shore Road) approx. 2 miles (notice boat launch sign on right side of road) to Smith Neck Road. Follow Smith Neck Road to the end to the boat launch ramp and parking lot.
Note: Per DEEP boating regulations, respect kayak safety precautions with the addition of lighting requirements. At night, a 360 degree lantern type light mounted on the rear deck is preferred. Also, bring headlamps, flashlights, etc. Red/green running lights are not required. We will paddle in well-lit groups.
