This easy to moderate hike at MDC Reservoir 1 is on pavement and gravel, about 3.5 miles, with the option to add an additional mile. Hike leader, Claire O’Connor. MEET AT: the Laurel Hill building, 25 Cassandra Blvd., (directly off Farmington Ave., across from MDC Reservoir No. 1) West Hartford. DRIVE PAST THE BUILDING TO PARKING LOT ON THE RIGHT. Apres hosted by Mary Sullivan who will provide a main dish of chicken salad. A vegetarian option will also be available. BYOB, chair and dish to share. A refrigerator, microwave and oven are available. There is also a large patio. ARRIVE BETWEEN NOON AND 12:15 PM to drop off coolers and food and park.
