TWO HIKES: Shorter hike, ~2.5-3+ miles lead by Paula Felt 860.989.4801. Longer hike, ~3.5-4+ miles, lead by Rich Clairwood 860.908.2157. Arrive by 11:15 AM. Both hikes step off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time-it is getting too chilly to wait for late arrivals. The hikes will feature beautiful river views and a waterfall, ending at the scenic Comstock Bridge. Cars will be spotted in advance for the ride back to start point. See link for trail map and history of the area. DIRECTIONS: From Rt 2 take Exit 16. Follow Rt 149S for ~3 miles to hard right onto Peck Lane, then left onto Day Pond Rd. Park at far end of pond. Après at PaPa Z's Pizza Restaurant, 713 Middletown Rd., Colchester.
