MEET AT 11:30 AM (note time change due to return to Standard Time. Bobby LeDoux, 860-930-4633/860-643-9349. Drive into the park and at the fork go left and park near the pond. The trails at Gay City are rolling and gentle with some climbs and descents. Hiking shoes (NOT sneakers or running shoes) and poles strongly recommended due to wet/muddy conditions, slippery leaves and ball-bearing acorns! Socially distant apres in the park. Bring your own everything, including an extra layer or blanket. Alcohol is permitted but glass containers are NOT allowed on the beach or near the water. Please plan accordingly.
